Ash sighed. Unaware that Wade was watching them, she suddenly remembered something. While she didn't know if Jonathan had already been told, she thought it would be smart to let him know anyway, incase for some reason he didn't.

"Oh, and Jon, we're meeting at the barn tonight." There was no need to get more specific. Jon would know who 'we' was. It was the other Animorphs. And there was also no need to elaborate what barn Ash was talking about. Like the original Animorphs, the new ones had made their headquarters in Cassie's old barn. Not done talking, Ash added,

"Claire wants us to pool all our information. With just the few of us, and no Andalites to help, she thinks everything we can find out about the Yeerks is important. I think she might have been the only one to find out anything new, but otherwise I agree. You'll be coming, right?" Once again, Ash wished the Andalites hadn't left. At couple of those tail swinging aliens might have made a huge difference to the fight.

Wade overheard Ash, and swooped down towards them. She wanted to get to know more of the Animorphs. Natrurally she was an independant girl, used to doing things her own way. But, looking at Rachel's memorial, she knew this was too big a challange for one girl.

She landed on a young tree, part of a project to get some nature back into the old construction site. She didn't bother to demorph, but let herself be known.
<Hi, guys,> she said. She thought-spoke in Icelandic - her first language, but thought speak automatically translated it into whatever language the receiver understood best - it worked on deeper methods than just words. <Sorry, I just overheard you. We're meeting at the barn then? If you don't think it's safe to speak out loud just nod or something,> she added.

Ash spun around. Somehow, she recognized the thoughtspeak as Wade's, but it was still a surprise to here another's voice in her head. She scanned the area casually after regaining some of her composure, until she spotted one of Wade's morphs. Nodding carefully, more to point out her direction to Jon incase it had been a private message, Ash then recalled what the Animorph had said.

Nodding once again, this time to answer Wade's silent question. Then Ash turned back to Jon, and said briskly, "Well I'm off. I'll see you later then." Though Jonathan hadn't replied to the first question, it was pretty likely he'd show. He was an Animorph after all. After that, the brown-haired 17-year-old walked off, to somewhere else.

"Ok, then. See you later," Wade replied. She took another lingering glance at the memorial, and headed off. It was a schoolday, but it was the lunch break. She was supposed to be in an advanced maths tutorial, but had packed her morphing suit in her bag, and had decided to go out flying for half an hour instead. She knew it was risky, but there were plenty of places to morph and demorph safely at school, and if there was time she might catch up with some friends on the football field before classes started again, too.
